The recently released romantic comedy With Love, starring Abhishan Jeevinth and Anaswara Rajan, has successfully completed its first weekend run in theatres across India. The film, which hit screens last Friday, marks a notable debut for Jeevinth — who is better known as the director of Tourist Family — taking on the lead role in front of the camera.
Directed by Madhan, the Tamil-Telugu bilingual rom-com has been receiving positive reactions from critics and audiences alike, with strong word-of-mouth contributing to healthy footfalls throughout its opening weekend.
Industry estimates suggest that With Love has grossed approximately ₹8.3 crore globally within its first three days of release, with around ₹5.5 crore of that coming from Tamil Nadu screens alone.
Sunday proved to be the film’s strongest day, as more moviegoers turned out following early weekend buzz. The rom-com’s blend of fresh faces, light-hearted storytelling and relatable moments appears to have connected especially well with young and family audiences, a promising sign for its longevity at the ticket window.
Produced by Zion Films and MRP Entertainment, and with music by Sean Roldan, the film’s makers are now looking toward the weekdays — traditionally a tougher period after the initial weekend — to see if With Love can maintain momentum.
