Viswam is a tried and tested film through the commercial entertainer mould, with family values, comic relief and a few high-octane action sequences. Director Sreenu Vaitla has managed the task of integrating comedy, action and drama so effortlessly; he proved he could do it here as well. The story would be very familiar, but it has been packaged to bring money in bags for fans of the genre.
Performance: Gopichand and Kavya Thapar Shine
Gopichand is impressive as the main protagonist. His macho attitude and charisma to it suit the character perfectly, and he carries on the entire film on his back. He takes the action scenes and emotional scenes well, showing how versatile he is.
Kavya Thapar surprises great acting. She brings a certain charm and grace to the film. Her on-screen chemistry with Gopichand works great and makes her role memorable.
