Malavika Mohanan, a Malayalam actress, has been chosen as one of the two heroines. Malavika is well-known for her Malayalam and Tamil films. The team has been looking for potential filming locations lately. The movie is being produced by Naveen Yerneni and Ravishankar under the Mythri Movie Makers label. The movie is loosely based on the Vijay-starring movie Theri, however there are a lot of alterations.
