Theatre screen damaged by Allu Arjun fans during Desamuduru re-release celebrations

Re-releases have been a blessing for Telugu stars’ supporters. Fans will be thrilled at the prospect of watching past blockbusters and masterpieces starring their favourite actors in a theatre. On the occasion of Allu Arjun’s birthday, something similar was planned for his followers, but things quickly spiralled out of control.

Due to their excessive zeal and foolishness, Allu Arjun supporters have caused an issue with the re-release of the commercial blockbuster Desamuduru. When Desamuduru’s special performance was going on, incidentally, excessively zealous supporters wrecked the screen at Hyderabad’s renowned Sandhya 70MM theatre.

The celebrations of fans during re-releases can occasionally go out of hand, which is quite expensive for the theatre owners. The majority of theatre owners are reluctant to open their venues to special events and fan shows for this reason.

The theatre administration has been dealing with significant losses as a result of this vandalism for the previous few months. At many theatres, these losses reached the lakh range. To the dismay of the theatre management, chairs and screens were also broken in numerous locations.

But, this is the first time Allu Arjun has had one of his previous films given a second chance on the big screen as a celebration of his 20 years in the industry and also his birthday. In recent times, it has become usual to release old popular movies. One of Allu Arjun’s current major box office hits, Desamuduru, which debuted in 2007, elevated his celebrity status.
