Salaar 2: Prabhas and Prashanth Neel Gear Up for a High-Budget Sequel with Rs 340 Crore Investment

The producer of “Salaar” has suggested a revised budget of Rs 340 crore for the sequel, compared to the previous film’s Rs 270 crore budget. The success of ‘Kalki’ could prompt producer Vijay Kirgandur to allocate funds for the Movie. Due to the success of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel’s film “Salaar,” fans are excitedly awaiting the sequel. The narrative follows Prabhas as he fights to aid Prithviraj, his childhood friend, in defeating his rivals in the made-up city of Khansar.

Despite receiving poor reviews, Prabhas’ “Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire” was a commercial victory, earning over Rs 700 crore worldwide. Based on sources, Prashanth Neel has already filmed 20% of ‘Salaar 2’. The film’s ending set up for a sequel. Filming for the sequel is slated to start in August and last for eight months. Later this year, Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga will begin filming “Spirit.”

Prashanth Neel has committed to directing two significant projects: “Dragon,” starring NTR Jr., and “Salaar 2,” with a target release date of late 2025. The script for ‘Salaar 2’ was finished in January 2024. According to rumors, the movie will be shot over eight months, beginning in August. Given the popularity of “Kalki” and the excitement surrounding “Salaar 2,” Prabhas is expected to have a busy year.
