Ramayana Two-Part Epic Releases Date Confirmed

There is a two-part film, Ramayana, scheduled to be released theatrically, which will be directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Namit Malhotra and Shridhar Raghavan have written this movie. The promulgation of the epic tale Ramayana, one of the most ambitious cinematic adaptations from the ancient Indian source of the same name, makes everyone impatiently await the exact promise it brings.

A two-part release that spans the years 2026 and 2027 for Diwali.

The makers have strategically planned the release of the Ramayana in two parts. The movie will be released during Diwali in 2026, while the next part will hit the screens a year later during Diwali in 2027. This staggered release builds suspense and gives audiences an opportunity to deeply explore the storyline, characters, and dramatic conflicts defining the Ramayana.

Director and Creative Team

On board to direct this film is Nitesh Tiwari, who had earlier directed the critically acclaimed films Dangal and Chhichhore. His storytelling acumen and ability to craft emotionally engaging narratives will add depth and grandeur to this mythological retelling. The screenplay is being well taken care of by the hands of Namit Malhotra and Shridhar Raghavan, who will write it. With this adaptation, it seems to be authentic yet cinematic, promising to hit a chord with the audience.

Their approach will bring alive the very intricate nuances of the Ramayana characters through relatable themes resonating with today’s viewers.

High Expectations for Cast and Production

This has been a highly guarded secret, but it is expected that some of the greatest stars of Indian cinema are to be cast in some of the major roles in this adaptation, and of course, the lead heroes of this movie would be Rama and Sita, followed closely by Ravana and some other main characters. Expect to see much more effects, cinematography, and grand set designs in creating the world of ancient India, in such great detail as if it were reality itself. Each stage of the production has been visualized to bring the viewer into the world of myths, making the viewer feel and see the beauty of the Ramayana.
