With just 50 days to go for the most awaited Pushpa 2, the expectation seems to have touched an all-time high. The movie is gearing up for a grand release on December 6th with pre-release buzz plans in place from the makers to propel it further. Fans are expecting the third single from the movie which may drop by the end of this month. The director, meanwhile, Sukumar readies his team up in the promotional context as the release date draws near.
Pre-Release Business Summary
Business-wise, Pushpa 2 has huge pre-release business, especially in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The numbers are on par with the major blockbusters such as RRR indicating how much people are waiting for this Allu Arjun starrer. Here is the area-wise breakup of the film business.
Nizam: ₹80 Cr
Ceded: ₹30 Cr
UA: ₹23.40 Cr
East Godavari: ₹14.40 Cr
West Godavari: ₹10.80 Cr
Guntur: ₹15.30 Cr
Krishna: ₹12.60 Cr
Nellore: ₹7.2 Cr
Telugu States Overall Business
In that regard, the pre-release business collection in the Telugu states is an astonishing ₹194 crores. For the film to get declared a hit in the region, at least ₹200 crores should have been collected at the box office. So far that has happened only with RRR and Baahubali. But Pushpa 2, for one, does have the clear cut upper hand because of the December release and long expected play because not much biggies are scheduled during that time.

Expectations for the Release
The only other major film slated to be released is Game Changer, starring Ram Charan. With such a scenario, Pushpa 2 may well enjoy an uninterrupted run at the box office. Whereas the main business of film is largely word-of-mouth, which would serve it well in the long run, just like its prequel Pushpa. The eyes are presently on Allu Arjun and his performance as Pushpa Raj, and people are expecting that cinematic experience yet again to be met or to be even better than the first installment.
All of this bodes well for Pushpa 2, which should end up being one of the biggest films out this year, carrying heavy expectation on both ends: the box office and reception.
