Salaar, the next action thriller movie starring pan-Indian actor Prabhas that was written and directed by KGF 1 & 2 director Prashanth Neel, is now in post-production. After a huge smash like KGF, Prashanth Neel is directing Salaar, and the expectations are incredibly high for this movie. Prabhas and Shruti Haasan share the lead parts, marking their first time working together.
While Prabhas, who has signed back-to-back projects, is already anticipating the theatrical premiere of Om Raut’s “Adipurush,” the pre-release businesses of this “Darling” star’s next projects are setting insane records.
The movie Salaar, which has a $200 million budget, plans to open in theatres worldwide on September 23. According to current reports, the movie secured the largest overseas deal ever for an enormous sum. The information that is now available indicates that Salaar’s international rights were sold for a staggering sum of Rs 90 crore.
Even RRR wasn’t even sold for more than Rs 75 crore. His other movie, Baahubali 2, which turned him into a national hero in India, garnered Rs 65 crore internationally. Salaar has an ensemble cast with significant characters played by veteran Jagapathi Babu, actress Shruti Haasan, actor-director-producer Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sriya Reddy, Madhu Guruswamy, and Easwari Rao, among others.
The soundtrack for the movie was written by KGF alum Ravi Basrur. Ujwal Kulkarni is on board as the film’s editor, and Bhuvan Gowda is cranking the camera. The film was made by Vijay Kiragandur under the Hombale Films label.
