Footage of Nagarjuna from the latest schedule leaked on social media, displeasing the unit. Following their disclosure, videos of Nagarjuna in a fully realized action avatar went viral.
While fans’ anticipation and excitement upon seeing their beloved hero in an action avatar can be understood, it is important to note that filmmakers invest heavily in these big films, and these leaks dampen their spirits. The pain in Lokesh Kanagaraj statement reinstates the same. Perhaps, it is time all top filmmakers follow Rajamouli’s “no-cellphone” policy on sets to avoid such leaks in future.
Lokesh Kanagaraj, known for his meticulous approach to action thrillers, last directed Leo: Bloody Sweet (2023), a massive Tamil-language action thriller. The film, produced by Seven Screen Studio, featured the iconic actor Vijay in the titular role. Leo was part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) and drew partial inspiration from A History of Violence, setting the stage for a gripping storyline. The film also featured an ensemble cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Trisha, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Madonna Sebastian, George Maryan, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, and Mathew Thomas.
