Director Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the daughter of South Superstar Rajinikanth, has reported a gold theft from her home to the Chennai police. The director alleged that thieves stole gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs. 3.64 lakhs from her Chennai home. In her complaint, she mentioned a driver, two members of the family, and another suspect.
Aishwarya Rajinikanth said in her FIR submitted to the Teynampet police that she had locked her jewels away in a locker and that several members of the home staff were aware of this. She recalled that on the day of her sister’s wedding in 2019 she had worn her jewellery for the final time.
The jewellery had been kept in a locker ever since, according to the director. The locker was initially stored in her then-husband Dhanush’s house before being moved to her Chennai apartment. She added that the locker was at the home of her father, Rajinikanth. She admitted that she had the keys with her at all times.
60 gold sovereigns and antique gold coins were among the stolen commodities, according to a report. Theft also included Navratnam sets, bracelets, and necklaces made of diamonds. She noted that while individual gold jewellery could be priced up to 3.62 lakhs, the overall value would be significantly higher.
Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s Laal Salaam, which she directed, marks her seven-year return to the cinema industry. Her father, Rajinikanth will participate in a cameo role in the film, which is inspired by communism and cricketing. In Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s film Laal Salaam, Vishnu and Vishal Vikrant will play the lead roles. The movie will probably be released this year in April.
