However, the project did not take off and he cites reasons related to Vijay’s commitments towards his earlier film and other considerations. Still, he continues, the experience was a high point on his journey.

Looking back, the director says he was grateful that Vijay trusted his vision, as he hadn’t directed any big hero film till then. “I haven’t done any big hero film. But he trusted me, and it gave me a lot of confidence,” he says.
