The Greatest of All Time, a science fiction drama directed by Venkat Prabhu, has done rather well in Tamil Nadu, despite its unexpected success. The movie has made a lot of money since its September 5th release, despite receiving negative reviews.
Given that the GOAT has enormous distribution rights of INR 75 crore in Tamil Nadu, a gross of INR 160 crore is required for the Vijay-starring film to make even. It reported a strong INR 150 crore as of September 13 and is expected to turn a profit today.
This weekend’s advance bookings for the movie seem promising as well, suggesting that the Yuvan Shankar Raja musical will continue to do well for a further two weeks. Having said that, the goat will surpass the INR 200 crore threshold with ease, providing purchasers with substantial gains.

This is a testament to the undeniable superstardom of ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay within the state of Tamil Nadu. Even in Karnataka, North India, and overseas, The Greatest of All Time will emerge as a profitable venture. Needless to say, the Kerala and Telugu states’ distributors will incur huge losses.
