While the second week for Vettaiyan did witness some stiff competition from other releases, the journey of the film at the box office remained largely unaffected. It collected ₹17.23 crore on Day 8, ₹16.04 crore on Day 9, and ₹21.65 crore on Day 10, reflecting a great appeal among fans and family audiences alike. The total of the film reached a staggering ₹398.45 crore by Day 15 – just short of the ₹400 crore milestone.
