Devara Box Office Day 7: Post-Holiday Drop, Weekend Boost Awaited

Devara, starring Jr NTR, completes its first week at the box office. The collections hadn’t been so good since the Gandhi Jayanti holiday. If the festive season will lift the film in its second week is the hope of fans. Here’s a detailed breakdown of how the film is faring so far.

Good Opening, But Mid-Week Fall for Devara

Devara is finally here, marking Jr NTR’s return to the silver screen after the much-needed RRR. NTR fans thronged theatres in large numbers and were eager to see him in a dual role for the very first time, so much so that it became the second-best Indian opening film of 2024, after the epic Kalki 2898 AD. Mixed word-of-mouth reviews led to decreased collections with each passing week.

Box Office Collection Day 7: Steep Fall

Devara has minted anywhere between 7 to 7.5 crores on Thursday, Day 7 as per the early estimates. That will be a steep fall of 64-66 % from the 21 crore of Gandhi Jayanti day. This kind of fall is indeed expected in the post-holiday period; however, Durga Puja going to start today, and the theatre occupancies are likely to soar into the weekend.

The total collection for the first week of the movie has been 218.85-219.35 crores, and it further requires momentum into its second weekend to reach the coveted 300-crore mark, a milestone it needs to recoup the extravagant production budget.

Area-wise Breakup of Devara’s Collections

Here is the detailed day-wise breakup of Devara’s collections:

Day 1: ₹ 83 crore

Day 2: ₹ 39 crore

Day 3: ₹ 42 crore

Day 4: ₹ 12.75 crore

Day 5: ₹ 14.10 crore

Day 6: ₹ 21 crore

Day 7: 7-7.5 crore (estimate)
Day 7 or Day 8 to cross 200 crore (as it’s the last day). The film will see growth over the weekend and will reach almost 300 crores at the international box office.
