Amaran is going great in the box offices by its spectacular performance with Siva Karthikeyan and Sai Pallavi. The movie picked up positive word of mouth right from the opening day and dominated throughout the first week. After having a wonderful opening weekend, Amaran did remarkable stability during weekdays and garnered around 175 crores worldwide in the first week.
There are no strong releases in sight that may take it off the pole position. The film is likely to comfortably aim for the 200 crore mark by the end of the second weekend. Subsequently, it would eye the 250 crore mark, which seems quite reachable by the third weekend. But with Kanguva releasing on November 14th, the box office hopes of Amaran are well threatened.

Competition stern, the word of mouth will take Kanguva’s film to the roofs, the opening day will bring in humongous numbers not only in Tamil Nadu but across states and globally. Will Amaran be able to reach the 250 crore club amidst such fierce competition? The coming days will tell if it has been able to sustain the momentum.
