Advance bookings for Thalapathy Vijay’s most recent movie, “GOAT,” are helping the movie do well at the box office. The movie is breaking records at the ticket window even three days before it opens.
Thalapathy Vijay’s film, “The Greatest of All Time” (GOAT), will release on September 5 and has already started breaking advance booking records for its first day. With three days left for advance bookings before its official release, the Tamil Pan-India film is on track to achieve an incredible first day of business in India.
According to the trade website Sacnilk, Venkat Prabhu’s film “GOAT” has already sold about 3.68 lakh tickets on its first day, earning about Rs 7.94 crore without any blocked seats. After accounting for the blocked seats, the total now stands at Rs 10.52 crore, making it one of the largest pre-sales earnings for a Tamil movie this year. In fact, ‘GOAT’ is set to overtake ‘Indian 2’ as the Tamil movie with the highest advance booking totals of the year.

In pre-sales, the Kamal Haasan-starring vigilante drama brought in Rs 11.20 crore in revenue. ‘GOAT’ needs just a few more hours to surpass this total and set a record before the film even opens. Tamil Nadu and Karnataka have generated the most revenue for the movie, with Bengaluru and Chennai having the most ticket sales.
With an additional 1637 tickets sold through IMAX, the total number of tickets sold for the Tamil version of the movie has reached 3,65,724. The Tamil version has made around Rs 79,051,774.1 (Rs 7.90 crore) in total revenue. The Telugu market has contributed the remaining Rs 3.4 lakh.

“GOAT” is expected to open in India with about Rs 40 crore nett, as advance bookings contribute over Rs 20 crore gross. The movie will have a single release in the South, with the only opposition it will have in the Hindi belt coming from “Stree 2,” which is currently in its fourth week of fantastic box office performance.
The producers will release the Hindi version of the movie, titled “Thalapathy Vijay is The GOAT.” This film marks Vijay’s debut following his statement earlier this year about entering politics. With a reported budget of almost Rs 400 crore, the film ranks among the most expensive releases of the year.Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Ajmal Ameer, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Vaibhav, Yogi Babu, Premgi Amaren, and Yugendran are among the other notable actors in the movie.
