In the film, Rashmika plays an NRI girl while a lovely European setting can be seen in the background. With GV Prakash Kumar producing the soundtracks, Mythri Cinema Producers is funding the film on a large scale. Mission Majnu is where Rashmika Mandanna was last observed. The spy thriller Mission Majnu was produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Amar Butala, and Garima Mehta in 2023 and directed by Shantanu Bagchi. The 1971 Indo-Pakistani War is depicted both before and during the movie, which stars Sidharth Malhotra. In supporting roles are Rashmika Mandanna, Parmeet Sethi, Sharib Hashmi, Kumud Mishra, and Rajit Kapur.
The movie was initially supposed to hit theatres on May 13, 2022, then again on June 10, 2022, before being postponed indefinitely. The movie’s theatrical distribution was ultimately scrapped, and on January 20, 2023, it was made available only on Netflix.
