The seasoned actor will start filming “Lal Salaam,” in which he will play a significant role, and he will then move to his movie with TJ Gnanavel, provisionally titled “Thalaivar 170.” According to latest rumours, Rajinikanth’s next film would star Lokesh Kanagaraj.
After the premiere of “Vikram,” Lokesh Kanagaraj planned to direct Rajinikanth, but the project stalled, and the director eventually declared his reconciliation with Vijay. According to rumours, Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj spoke about developing their upcoming movie.

Rajinikanth will go with TJ Gnanavel for “Thalaivar 170” later this year after spending two months filming for “Lal Salaam.” The Thalaivar 170 project is expected to be finished in the second quarter of 2024.
