Jr NTR’s Devara Passes Censor Board with Changes: Scenes Removed and U/A Certification
As the release date for Jr NTR’s much-awaited film Devara approaches, excitement is mounting. Directed by Koratala Siva, this sea-action epic recently completed its censor formalities, securing a U/A certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film’s final runtime stands at 178 minutes (2 hours and 58 minutes).
Censor Board Requested Modifications in Key Scenes of Devara
While the film was cleared for release, the censor board requested a few specific changes. One major alteration involved modifying a scene where a character kicks both his wife and mother, a sequence deemed too violent. Additionally, a five-second shot showing a hanging body was removed entirely.
The board also directed the filmmakers to add a CGI disclaimer to a scene where Jr NTR is depicted riding a shark, making it clear that the shark was digitally created for the film.
After these revisions were implemented, Devara was approved for release without any further objections.
The Movie Gears Up for Release on September 27, 2024
Slated for release on September 27, 2024, Devara will be available in its original Telugu language along with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Featuring a stellar cast including Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, the film promises an exciting mix of action, drama, and stunning visual effects.
