Story:

In Mathu Vadalara 2, Babu (Sri Simha Koduri) and Yesudas (Satya) work as officers in the HE Team, led by their senior Nidhi (Faria Abdullah). The team takes on a kidnapping case that reveals a larger mystery involving the death of a young girl named Riya. As the investigation deepens, suspicions fall on Babu and Yesudas. Who is Riya? Are they innocent or guilty? How do characters like Yuva (Vennela Kishore) and Akarsh (Akash) play into the mystery? The movie’s twists and turns keep viewers guessing.

Plus Points:

The highlight of Mathu Vadalara 2 is Satya’s brilliant comedic performance. His expressions, comedic timing, and mimicry of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s iconic gestures make his role highly entertaining. Satya’s chemistry with Sri Simha Koduri adds to the humor, and Vennela Kishore delivers amusing dialogues that keep the laughter flowing.

Sri Simha Koduri does a solid job in his role, and Faria Abdullah also fits well in her part. Sunil, though underused, performs competently, and the rest of the cast contributes well to the story.

Minus Points:

While the comedy is the film’s strong suit, the plot is somewhat predictable and formulaic. Characters like Sunil and Rohini Molleti are not given enough material to showcase their talents fully. The lack of depth in certain scenes, like the ‘Ori Na Kodaka’ segment, could have been handled better. Additionally, some dialogues and sequences feel repetitive and fail to leave a lasting impact.

Technical Aspects:

Ritesh Rana’s direction is satisfactory, though the storyline could have been more engaging. Suresh Sarangam’s cinematography captures the comedic and suspenseful moments well, and Karthika Srinivas’s editing is clean. Kaala Bhairava’s music complements the film’s mood, enhancing the comedic and thrilling elements. The production values are commendable.

Verdict:

Overall, Mathu Vadalara 2 is a lighthearted crime comedy that succeeds thanks to Satya’s excellent comedic performance. Although the plot may be predictable and the film lacks the novelty of its predecessor, it still offers plenty of laughs. If you enjoy humorous crime thrillers, Mathu Vadalara 2 is worth watching for a good time.
